UKRAINIAN FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR 2013
YEVHEN KONOPLYANKA is the winner of the DonetskWay2012 – Ukrainian Footballer of the Year 2013. Konoplyanka has been a key player for both Dnipro and Ukraina, establishing himself as a danger man of both sides and becoming a wanted man around Europe. He has taken the step up from prospect to star player in 2013 and will now have his visions set on silverware and trying to establish himself among Europes elite players. There has been interest in the Dnipro winger from clubs across Europe and a move maybe on the horizon for Konoplyanka. A top year for Konoplyanka sets himself up nicely for 2014.
ANDRIY YARMOLENKO came a close second to Konoplyanka in our ratings. Yarmolenko has stepped out of the shadow and become a leader for his club Dynamo (often captaining the side) and for Ukraina. 2013 has seen Yarmolenko grow, as Konoplyanka has, as despite the struggles of his club side, Yarmolenko has shone for the national team coming so close to taking them to the World Cup. The talisman is often labelled as the next Shevchenko and his path may follow that of the legend with a move abroad even to Italy in 2014.
ARTEM FEDETSKYI has been in fine form for Dnipro and Ukraina this year, consistently providing good performances and adding a goal scoring threat, particularly for Ukraina. Although the Dnipro man has been in and around the Ukraina side for several years, he has shone to prominence in 2013 under the management of Mykhaylo Fomenko.
